THIS NEWS IS DESERVING OF ITS OWN POST:
As of today, Gerdi has officially been hired full-time with the Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service!!! He was No. 1 overall 30ish other candidates! WOW! What a man! I'm so proud of him. Our lives are going to change drastically now that he'll be on shift work, but it is all very exciting. He starts training on May 28th (only 2 weeks away)!!
Some of you may be wondering how we/he can fit another job into his already busy life... yeah, we are too. LOL. No, he'll have to quit Valhaven (his part-time maintenance job) and also auxiliary firefighting. That will take him down to the dogs, birds, and career firefighting. I'll let you know how that goes ;)

Congrats Gerdi! What a huge accomplishment! so exciting. You will have to get elijah a little fire truck and fireman's outfit. . . so he can be just like his daddy. Hopefully you are planning something fun to celebrate!
