Bits and Bites...

Elijah loves to gets his teeth on anything that comes near them... literally. He has quite the bite now too with all those upper and lower teeth!

We've been walking lots at the lake in these last few weeks, often with Kelly and Laura (although they are much more committed than me). It's been good exercise and nice to get fresh air with the baby. He also loves to swing now. The other day he had a great time with Taeya. He especially liked looking at her swing.

On the weekend my mum had her big move to Abbotsford. Now she is only 5 minutes away. Awesome for babysitting and awesome for quick visits and "hey, how are ya's". I'm going to love having her so close! Her brother and wife were also out over the weekend for a visit, so I came over to catch up with them too.

This is my cousin, Alasdair, yes my first cousin, who is 15 months old.


This is his hilarious and dramatic sister, Catriona who is 3. She has lots of personality - she was a hoot. I don't get to see them much as they live on the Island, so it was great to see how much they've grown. Elijah really enjoyed playing with them both. He showed his excitement with lots of grunts and arm flapping all directed at them. It was very cute, but very loud.

I feel like July is going to fly by really fast. Next week is already VBS, which I am quite involved with this year as I am teaching the preschool aged children. Then it's our Life Group camping trip right afterwards, which I'm stoked about and then one week later we're heading up to the Okanagan for a week with my mum and aunt and uncle. The coolest part of all of this is that we planned these trips prior to Gerdi getting hired on with the fire dept and amazingly (truly an act of God) he is available for both trips!! I am thrilled that he can be a part of it all - it just wouldn't be the same without him.
