Well, I've had some rough nights with Elijah... he's got to be teething. He has been crying, whining, moaning in his sleep the last few nights and has been waking up every couple of hours screaming. Last night at 11pm he woke up and was almost inconsolable. I hadn't seen him cry like that in a long time. So I gave him Tylenol and he finally went back to bed around 11:30. Well he woke up at 3am, screaming again, so I gave him a bottle and then I heard him crying at 6am, but that time I ignored him and thankfully he went back to sleep. My nights have been like this for the last 3 or 4, but certainly last night was the worst. I feel so bad for him, it's hard to see your little one in such discomfort and I also feel bad for me who has to deal with him in the middle of the night! I have no idea how Gerdi slept through his crying fit at 11:30, but he didn't budge in his bed and didn't come to see what was wrong with his little man - sheesh. Now I don't expect him to attend to him on a work night, but I was certainly surprised that he didn't even ask what was wrong. Either he was in a really deep sleep or he's just really confident in my mothering skills and figured I had it under control ;) I'm just really hoping for a better night tonight as I have to work in the morning!! This is a new reality - I still have to go to work and be 'on' even when my night sucks and I'm zonked... I'll let you know how that goes :) I have not been a very good blogger as of late. It seems that my life has gotten too busy for blogging at the moment. I'm even behind on my reading of most your blogs, crazy I know. So I hope that the craziness of school start-up ends soon and that I can get back to a more normal pace. I've posted some pics from the last little while. I'm also attempting to post a video, my first. We'll see how that turns out. .
He likes to flip his fingers on his mouth while he makes noises to hear the distortion - very cute.
At SAC's picnic with my cousin's daughter, Emmaleigh.
Our good friends, Geoff and Marci and their son Richard. Geoff was having lots of fun entertaining Elijah and Elijah was definitely entertained!!
My cutie-pie. This pic looks more like me as a baby.

Sarah, Elijah's expressions are so fun! Thanks for all the pictures!
Good job "run off her feet mummy". Loved the video (or was it a commercial for "Garnier"?) Little E was adorable as usual. Just can't get enough of that little man. And you're right - that last photo is a lot like you. I should try to find the one it reminds me of and you could post it.
Mum
wow - I sure understand those frustrating nights, along with the "sleep through it" husband, and getting up for work in the morning! welcome to working motherhood! it's probably those first year molars, and hopefully there's an end in sight!
Wow, does he ever look like you in that last pic! What a sweetie. Pretty impressed that you kept the camera so still while still giving him juice. Your obviously a great multitasker. I hope your nights and days go better. I feel for the little guy but for as well. That's gotta be hard stuff, trying to juggle all that you have on your plate. Well here's you pat on the back, my hats off to yah girl.
phew - hope those nights improve soon!
great pictures, as always :)
