Preparing for Elijah's Birthday Party on Sunday:
Making 'The Cake' - yah, I made a big mess when I put the mixer on high immediately. Coco everywhere. Lesson learned :D
'Nana' working painstakingly on 'The Cake'. We bought special icing tips from the cake store to make this bear shaggy. We had lots of fun, although it was very time consuming. Next time I will have the cake finished well before the party begins to avoid unwanted stress an hour prior to party time.
Tada! Not bad for the first try ever.
Lesson #2 learned (although I already knew this, but decided since we were 'measuring' it wouldn't matter) - always prepare ALL your icing before starting because color matching after the fact is difficult at best!

You certainly can do it all! Great teacher, wonderful mom, and cake maker extraordinaire! Sure would have loved to try your teddy bear cake. What a lucky little guy Elijah is!
Ok so I know your busy with you working and all, BUT WHERE'S INSTALLMENT #2!!!! :) Just kidding around, but I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the story...
