Thanks for the babysitting offers, Kelly and Laura! I will definitely keep you mind. I appreciate it!
As for his sleeping... well, I definitely think it's his teeth. I can now see a definite cut in his upper gum. The night after this post he woke up at 1am, so I gave him some Tylenol and he slept until 8:3am! So that worked well. Then last night he went down at 8pm and woke at 12am - really early this time!! So, I just gave him Tylenol right away and he slept the rest of the night well.
I didn't realize teething could cause ear issues sometimes. What are some other symptoms of ear infections/aches?
Today my mum, Auntie Lori and Uncle Gus are coming out. Uncle Gus is going to help Gerdi level out part of our yard for the volley ball net. We ladies will just provide them with moral support and a yummy lunch. Thankfully the weather looks decent - it's not supposed to rain...
Yesterday was a great Sunday. We decided at 8:30am that we'd go to church again (we really enjoyed the service Saturday night), but the service we were attending started at 8:30 :) So, we quickly got ready and made it there for, well 9:30, just as it was dismissing. Oh well. It was the attempt that counts. We were planning on catching the 8:30 service preaching, KidStuf at 10am and then the worship of the 11am service. Instead, we visited with some friends leaving church and went to KidStuf which was enjoyable. Then we picked up a late breaky at Micky D's and headed out for Chilliwack to see our dogs, Fabio and Flavie, who were being shown. They both got their last points this weekend and now are Champions!! Pretty exciting stuff in the dog world. We then left Chilliwack and drove to Hope where we visited our good friends all afternoon and had dinner. If my camera was working I would have taken some pics of their boys. Very sweet kids and growing like crazy! All in all it was a great day. I love visiting days like this! So much fun. I am definitely social by nature.
Later.

Sarah,
You're a great mom!! The only thing I know about ear infections is that sometimes kids pull at their ears - but not always. I have no 'mom' experience, just nursing. Sounds like the Tylenol is working though.
No worries about not being able to come up to the cabin. I totally understand. You and Gerdi have a huge transition, and you should be there to support him. If I am spending any significant amount of time in Abby, I will give you a call. Maybe on the 7th or 8th of June, but we'll see. I will be out later in the summer - August - to spend time at the cabin and at least 5 or 6 days in Abby. I will definately catch up with you then, and Jenny's new baby. . . Have a great day.
sounds like my kind of sunday - unfortunately mine was spent like a usual saturday - doing laundry and keeping the kids away from Brad's bathroom reno efforts - oh well, see you tonight!
cool! Who shows the dogs for you?
glad you got to see r, k & the boys. they must be growing and ever-so-cute!
about the ear infections, i don't have much wisdom. i don't think Taeya has ever had one...nothing has ever made me think she has. i figure if she's crying all day long and i don't know why, maybe it's an ear infection :)
see you tonight!
Hi Sarah!
So - your camp squeah friends inspired your drive past the dusty sign (whom my nieces affectionately refer to as 'Auntie Heidi' everytime they pass - Forget dusty...that's Auntie Heidi!). And what?? Gerdi wasn't surprised? What a well timed blog. :)
And I must say, I'm impressed with your committment to church.
OK this I know about.... Redness in the ear, pulling, and when you put them down to sleep although they are great walking and playing the start to scream and get up. I guess the pressure hurts when you lay them down. Sometimes even fever. I have had plenty of nights in ER's when Gavin was little. Anna so far so good. Teething BITES! ha funny!
