Elijah was a fire fighter this year. I had thought he would be a super hero but when I went looking at Value Village for a Superman shirt, I couldn't find any. So as I was looking around I came across this awesome little fire truck that straps over the child's shoulders and looks like they're driving the truck. Too cute! I then happened upon a second-hand fire fighter jacket, which was only $2.99 - perfect! The costume was complete. It will be even cuter next year when he is walking.
Here are some shots of the evening:
Standing all by himself at the door. "Now how do I open this?"
Still fixated on getting the Starburst treat open. Not gonna happen! Sorry big boy, maybe next year :D
" But mom, I reeeeally want one!!"
Trying to eat through the wrapping. Clever.
My mum did bring him to a few of her neighbours just to show him off, but that was the extent of his trick or treating and our celebrating. We had hoped to go to the Bradner Community Hall for the Fire Works, but because Gerdi had a big test to study for that night, we opted to stay home and cram instead.
