Easter Weekend

Gerdi's brothers and their wives are die hard campers to say the least. For instance, they just spent their spring break and Easter weekend up at Hicks Lake, just past Harrison doing just that... camping out in this c-c-c-cold weather! I am thoroughly impressed with their dedication to this pleasant pastime (pleasant when the weather is above 18 degrees Celsius). Me, on the other hand, as you can gather, not so dedicated. Gerdi and I did, however, manage to come up for a visit on Thursday afternoon where we enjoyed a lovely campfire and dinner. We also experienced our first Passover Seder. It was a really neat experience and comes from the Jewish Passover tradition. Although Seder is traditionally done by Jews, it was a really interesting way for us, as Christians who believe the Messiah has already come, to reflect on how God has been faithful throughout time to His People and has promised to deliver us. I am personally so thankful that God has indeed sent us our deliver, in Jesus Christ.

Here are some great pics of Elijah and his cousins at the campsite. Most of these pictures are care of my niece, Laryssa, who is becoming quite the photographer. Enjoy!

love his face in the last one. so precious :) And you are not alone, Sarah... as much as I LOVE to camp, it needs to be a certain temperature before I will even attempt it. And this is a particularly cold start to Spring!

Awesome pics! I remember the days back when, as a family on spring break we always went camping, and as an avid lover of camping, there is NO flippin way that I'm going out before it's 20 C........LOL

Looks like fun - even if it was a bit chilly. Love Elijah's hat. Glad you got to spend time with family.
