Today is one of those perfect Saturdays.
- I got to sleep in (almost until 8am!)
- I went for a walk with Elijah and my mum around Mill Lake at 9:30am
- I got a 12oz, half-sweet, extra hot vanilla latte at City Blends (and believe me I needed something extra hot after the chilly walk... is this really April???)
- put Elijah to bed immediately after getting home
- watched some play-off hockey and basketball
- made my hubby and I lunch, grilled cheese - mmm, mmm, good!
- whipped up a batch of choco chip cookies (it has been sooo long since I've baked)
- cleaned the bathroom
- and now I'm blogging!!
Wow. I feel so productive for just 1:24pm :D
Later in the day,
- I'm heading out with E to watch a SAC softball game in Bradner
- my niece, Laryssa, is sleeping over
- we're going to church
- and then perhaps (but doubtful), we'll visit the Camp Squeah paddlers at their overnight pit stop in Chilliwack (it's the big fundraising weekend "Paddle-a-thon")
Yesterday was a good day too. I had a pro-d which is always a nice change ;-) and then Gerd and I went out with our friend Chad and his girlfriend to the Mission theatre to watch "Leatherheads" which turned out to be a funny movie.
I'm posting some pics from a few weeks ago when my good friend Drea was here from California. Jenny, Drea and I go way back and now we all have little boys. I've also got some shots of Elijah playing in the dirt - HE'S TURNING INTO SUCH A BOY!! He LOVES being outside and he's into everything! These pictures show our front "lawn" that's not so much of a lawn anymore. We're in the process of digging it up to level it and then re-seed it. Unfortunately, the job that was supposed to only take a week or so has really been dragging on because the weather has not been co-operating. Thankfully, Gerdi's getting a good work day today. We are hoping (cross your fingers for us please!) that he can seed on Tuesday... time will tell.
Elijah, Ryder, Riley, Ethan and Caleb. Ryder and Ethan are Drea's adorable nephews.
Playing with a new friend, Ryder.
DIRT!! Fun, fun, fun.
Looking at his dirty hands, which I've discovered he's not a big fan of.
These pictures are all the way from Easter, but they're cute so I thought I'd post them.
Oh and I got new glasses two weeks ago or so. A little more bold... what'd ya think? I'm used to them now, but it did take a while. I also have a second pair coming that are frameless, so when I don't want my glasses to stand out as much, I can wear them. For some reason it is taking forever for them to come in. I better call and find out what's happening...

Love your glasses, where did you go to buy your glasses, i feel like getting new ones and seeings i am fully covered under my husbands insurance it won't cost me anything!! You have a big yard. I was going to suggest you buy turf to have grass right away. WE just redid our whole front yard i have picso n facebook of the transformation and we layed turf down just so we would have grass right away for janae as we don't really have an outdoor area at home for her to play in, plus with us living in a bush area it would take forever to for the grass to grow. WE were just really surprised at how cheap turf was. so ya thought i should mention that.
I personally LOVE the glasses ;) Looks great on ya!
That's a whopping bunch of boys there on the couch, glas you had a good weekend so far!! I love productive days.
Good luck with the yard, at least today there's no arctic outflow!! lol
See ya tomorrow.

Love the glasses! :D Your Saturday sounds wonderful!
Great pictures Sarah! Looking forward to seeing you in person.
Sarah,
I did not see a black camera case, however I was not looking all too closely. I have not heard from anyone on the team that there was a camera left in the stands either. I do hope you are able to find it.
